Englewood Country Liners (ECL) recently entertained a packed roomful of eager patients at Englewood Healthcare and Rehab Center on Drury Lane. The dancers, back by popular demand, presented an eclectic mix of line dances and music, bringing smiles and moments of nostalgia to members of their audience. ECL is a fun and community minded non-profit club that also helps out local charities. The public who know basic dance steps are welcome to join them every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:30am at Christ Lutheran Church, 701 N. Indiana Avenue. For further information, contact Nancy Vargo, President, at 474•6027, nvarg064@gmail.com or visit www.facebook.com/englewoodcountryliners. The dancers are (l-r) Doris Muller, Pat Chabot, Margot Kidman (Vice President,) Ann Wagner (Historian/Sunshine,) Geri McGary, Jayne Parker (Secretary,) Helen Morse and Nancy Vargo (President.)

She puts people in touch with nature
"My life has been about words,” says Mary Lundeberg in a vast understatement of what she has accomplished in two careers over the last half-century. Her life has been about words, yes, but also about pictures, teaching and outspoken advocacy for better education and a more ecofriendly society.

Shore Fishing
Wade into some great fishing
It’s like shore fishing but with wet feet. Wading gets you away from the crowded shoreline spots and other fishermen with dry feet. When you’re wading, you can get to spots that even kayakers can’t access.

Time to replace old wiring?
Old homes can be charming and contain architectural elements not often seen in many modern housing developments. But what older homes may have in design appeal, they may lack in updated features.
