Twenty-five local businesses partnered with Boca Cares Community Fund to sponsor the 2021 Fall “Play It Forward” Fundraiser and Day of Caring on October 23 for the Greater Englewood Community. More than 250 neighbors and friends of the Boca Royale Golf and Country Club participated in the inaugural “Play It Forward” fundraiser, where community members chose to walk, pedal a bike, play pickleball or tennis. The day ended with a sold-out Gala Dinner Dance. “In its three short years of operation, Boca Cares has contributed more than $170,000 to local charities,” said Bryan Domian, Treasurer of Boca Cares. Please note: 2021 Fall Grant Applications period is now open. Applications must be submitted electronically by 5pm on Friday, December 3. Funding grant priorities are for food, shelter, health care, and social services targeting children, families, seniors, and veterans residing in the greater Englewood area. The application, criteria and instructions are available under Grants & Awards at www.bocaroyalcares.com. All organizations receiving grants from Boca Cares must be 501(c)(3) entities.
