'Writers on the Air' returns

Writers on the Air is back after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. WOTA Open Mic is now every Tuesday at Common Grounds Meeting Hall in North Port. Sign up is 5:30pm. Show starts at 6pm. WKDW 97.5 FM nonprofit radio invites amateur writers, poets, and comedians to perform or read their poem, story, or skit. Three to four minutes is suggested per round. Wanted: funny or family-friendly content. The location is 12735 US-41, North Port, next door to WKDW 97.5 FM radio station in the Springs Plaza just south of Caddy Carts and Warm Mineral Springs Motel if heading south from Venice.
