Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club awards $40K to local non-profits

On Thursday, July 21, the Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club gave $40,000 to local charities. The monies were the proceeds from the fundraising efforts over the past year. Organizations receiving money were: All Star Cheer, Boy Scout Troop 26, Crossroads, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, E.A.R.S., Englewood Community Care Clinic, Englewood Elementary School, Englewood Elks, Englewood Youth Baseball, Englewood Youth Football, Hope For Lost Hearts, Jesus Loves You Ministry, Johnny’s Dream, Jubilee Center, Kids’ Needs of Greater Englewood, L.A. Ainger Middle School, LBS Rotary Fireworks Fund, Lemon Bay Cemetery, Lemon Bay High School, Lemon Bay Historical Society, Myakka Elementary School, Meals on Wheels, Nancy Looney Scholarship Fund, On The Spot Aid, Patricia Chadwick Newton Scholarship Fund, Rotary Camp Florida, SKY Academy, Spread Spencer’s Sparkle, Suncoast Humane Society, The Long Walk Home, Vineland Elementary School, and Young Life.
