Up-In-Smoke Art Project

Calling kids of all ages to create some colorful art and bring some inspiration to the Englewood community during the COVID-19 pandemic. An old metal building on the corner of W. Langster Street and S. McCall Road will soon go up in smoke as a fire department training exercise. Before that happens, Englewood resident Larry Ross with the support of building owner Ben Mitchell, is encouraging people to produce a creative expression of hope, image of releasing past negativity or embracing the future, to be displayed on the building. Please keep it positive, fun and non-political. Then watch the heARTS go UP IN SMOKE! All you have to do is stop by the building where free cardboard is available to create your artwork message and then return the finished art to the same location. Larry, the “museum curator,” will display each piece on the building as a collective gallery to be viewed from the road. For more information, call Larry Ross at 207•399•2114 or email larry.ross51@gmail.com. Have fun and uplift your spirit!
