Lemon Bay Playhouse, 96 W. Dearborn Street, brings a political comedy to the new year in “The Outsider.” This show will run from Wednesday, January 18 – Sunday, February 12. Ned Newley doesn’t even want to be governor. He’s terrified of public speaking and his poll numbers are impressively bad. To his ever-supportive Chief of Staff, Ned seems destined to fail. But political consultant Arthur Vance sees things differently. Ned might be the worst candidate to ever run for office. Unless the public is looking for…the worst candidate to ever run for office. A timely and hilarious satire that skewers politics and celebrates democracy. Curtain time is 7:30pm Wednesday through Saturday and 2pm on Sundays. Reserved seat tickets are $25. Student tickets are available at $18 each. Visit www.lemonbayplayhouse.com or you can call the box office Monday-Friday, 10am to 2pm, at 941•475•6756.
