New massage business helps you rise up to wellness
Julie Graham and Teresa Giordano

Rise Wellness celebrated its Grand Opening on July 14 with an open house, free neck & shoulder massages and raffles to win free services. Julie Graham and Teresa Giordano, a mother-daughter team, are here to offer therapeutic massage therapy to improve your life physically, mentally and spiritually. They are excited and enthusiastic about serving the Englewood community. Their mission statement is a worthy one: “To inspire and facilitate your journey in living your best life.”

What are some of the benefits of massage? Massage is beneficial for all systems of the body; it can provide pain relief, lower blood pressure, tone muscles, relieve stress and fatigue, encourages better digestion, helps eliminate toxins from the blood and lymphatic system, and promote better sleep. Many people find massage to be an important component in pain management, injury recovery and optimal musculoskeletal function. Clients say that both Teresa and Julie have “intuitive hands” that guide them in the bodywork they perform. They both perform tension relief massage, pre-natal, pain relief, lymphatic drainage (to reduce inflammation and detoxification) as well as deep tissue massage, acupressure and other modalities to balance your energy and body.

Teresa Giordano, LMT, is formerly from California where she graduated from the School of Holistic Touch in Ontario, California. She is a Holistic Health Practitioner and has been doing massage work for 14 years with over 1,000 hours of training. She specializes in neck and shoulder tension relief. Teresa is currently studying to be a Skin Care Specialist and when licensed as an esthetician, will add facials, eyelash extensions and skin care to services offered. Rise Wellness is proud to offer the product line Annmarie Skin Care that is 100% chemical free and 100% organic with a botanical and essential oil base.

Daughter Julie Graham, LMT, is also from California, attended the California Holistic Institute, then moved to Florida and in 2012 obtained her Florida license from the Sarasota School of Massage. Julie has been practicing massage for 15 years with over 1,000 hours of training. She specializes in therapeutic deep tissue massage but is also going to school to be able to offer hypnotherapy early next year. It was a hard decision to leave her wonderful employer of six years in Venice, but she felt it was time to open her own studio and teamed up with her mother in that endeavor.

Rise Wellness (MM40639) is located at 180 N. Indiana Avenue in Suite 2. The studio is an inviting, relaxing and a peaceful environment where you can deposit all your cares and concerns with the Worry Tree, just inside the front door. You can tell the Worry Tree anything and she will take your worries and purify them into positive energy. The owners are very planet conscious and their retail boutique will reflect this with locally sourced products, such as luxurious robes sewn by an area seamstress. The studio adheres to all CDC regulations to protect you and your massage therapist. Bookings may be done through their Google Business Page, Facebook Page, Vagaro website or app and Rise Wellness’s website: www.RiseWellnessAf.com.
